“Horrible room and horrible service.”

Our FIRST room consisted of the toilet leaking to the point where our bathroom flooded. Then, the heater started making a very loud noise then fell apart, and the phone in the room was not connected. When I say not connected I mean not even a dial tone. We were then moved to a SECOND room where within ten minutes of moving into the new room I was making popcorn in the microwave and the microwave lit on fire. I could not call the front desk for help because the phone in the second room did not work either. Finally after freaking out and calling for help we throw water on the fire and get it put out. At this point the whole room is filled with smoke and the smoke alarms never went off. I then once again go up to the front desk to let the employee know my room had just had a fire. He told me he was with another customer and would get to me later. Atleast thirty minutes later he comes down to the room calm and not really concerned my room literally had a fire in it and we could have been injured or killed. The only thing the employee offered was a new microwave. We were never offered to be compensated for our stay. Our life was put in danger and it took 30 minutes for someone to even check on us and then showed no empathy. We would have left if it would not have been the host hotel of an event we were attending early the next morning.
