“Average property with exceptional service”

Service was great at the front desk as well as the valet service. If you have a car, your best bet is to use the valet service and then you can come and go without repaying. The cost is comparable. Only other choice is to use local parking and then constantly repaying when you wish to return, or using meters. Location was ok, right in the heart of the Gas Lamp District and in walking distance of many restaurants and local night life. Brian's 24, the restaurant attached to the hotel has great food and huge portions. Plan to share entrees. It is also open 24 hours. I think the biggest disappointment was the size of the room. Our door bumped the bed and their was only slightly more room on the other side of the bed. Bathroom had only a shower stall and water temperature varied. The sink was placed in the already crowded bedroom. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows were provided. Only two small elevators in the building so you mostly had to use the stairs. Elevators were extremely old and had the manual operating doors, but were functional the entire stay. Great roof top patio with scenic view that was open all times of the day and night. We had several informal meetings up there.
