“A couple of problems”

First I will say the staff handled my main problem quickly and professionally. I believe her name was Genelle. Three issues during my stay. First is minor, elevator was very, very noisy. Throughout the night I could hear some sort of device actuate every time the elevator was used. Did not report it just went back to sleep each time. Second issue is also minor, the printer is inoperative in the lobby so could not print boarding passes. desk clerk was again helpful as he offered to have me email him my electronic boarding pass, but I did not want to mess with it any further. Bigger problem was that when I got to my room and was unpacking I found a used hypodermic syringe on the top shelf of the closet. Did not get stuck, but still pretty disturbing. Front desk offered to change my room and when I declined had house keeping there promptly to remove. Also provided me a $20 discount which I applied to breakfast the next day. Discount is nice but as it is business travel it benefits my company but not me. Perhaps some additional rewards points or a free night to be used later would have been preferable. Again, response was prompt and professional, I did not ask for anything else to be done, so was OK with the response.
