“Newer windows don't have "stoppers" on them- toddler/kid fall hazard! Old, uncomfortable sofa bed. Great location.”

The Ojibway is a great Sault institution- my parents had their wedding reception there years ago and we have always loved its location and wonderful views of the freighters. It needs some renovation as the rooms are looking very "dated," but they didn't look overly "worn out." We stayed for one night as planned. That said, our suite (with a Jacuzzi) did have two newer flat screen TVs, and the king bed was extremely comfortable. However, the sofa bed had seen better days, and the family member who slept on it had a miserable experience. The staff with whom we interacted was helpful and professional. The addition of the complimentary breakfast buffet was a very nice touch, as off-the-menu items can add up.We had a suite on the fourth floor, and much to my chagrin, the somewhat newer double pane, double hung windows opened up (vertically) completely. There were no "stoppers," and with a two year old, I would have been extremely leery to have had this room during the warmer months. It has been a very long time since I've seen windows in a hotel room that did not have "stoppers." Perhaps this window situation is an anomaly, found in just a few rooms?
