“Hot Floor, Hot Room”

  , Severn
So my fiancee and I decided to stay at this hotel on Wednesday night bc the AC in our house was broken so we figured we'd spend a night in a cool hotel room. Boy were we wrong. Upon arriving at the hotel we were assigned a room on the 7th floor (top floor) and upon exiting the elevator I was smacked by a wall of heat very reminiscent of my home I had just left with the broken AC. When we the entered the room it was even worse. The AC Unit was completely turned off so the room was like a Sauna. After turning on the air the room did cool down but it TOOK 2 HOURS for it to become bearable. While waiting for the room to cool down I complained to the hotel staff that our room was hot and they sent up a gentleman who suggested I wet a towel and place it under my door to prevent the heat from the hallway from coming in. I did that and I suppose it helped but this just isn't the kind of thing I expect to have to do when staying at a Ramada. Also the internet was completely unusable. They mentioned they had a tour group who had checked in and the internet was slow but my fiancee and I couldn't even log on past the welcome screen. The venting in the bathroom was horrendous also after we both took showers it was hot enough to roast BBQ inside. The continental breakfast the next morning was also a wash, lack of milk for the cereal and an overall sloppy feel to the kitchen area was not becoming of such an establishment. Overall it wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed at namely bc of the comfort of the bed and the fact that the room finally cooled off but it's gonna be in my top 5. And that's not a good thing. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
