“Dated but comfortable”

  , Phoenix
For a 1 night stay this hotel is just fine. The first thing you'll notice is the outdated lobby. In fact, I stayed at this hotel in 1988 and not much has changed. The rooms appear to have been updated some since then. Overall the room was very clean and spacious. The bedding was spotless and actually quite comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel bar/restaurant is as you would expect. Nothing fancy. No sports bar theme. Great food and bartenders I can relate to. (Mature and friendly) No shopping or other eateries in the immediate area. The free breakfasst was disappointing. Let's leave it at that. Take advantage of the free shuttle and catch the light rail into Baltimore. Here's a tip- for a great meal and a slice of real Baltimore, head to Lexington Market before seeing the harbor. Yes, it's in a not so great part of downtown. Some might call it the hood. But you'll find great food and history. Lexington Market is the oldest in the country. Another tip- Crabcakes at Faidley's are a must have.As far as the Ramada I'd stay again without hesitation.
