“Customer Service is Key”

Although in Bangor Maine many times this was my first stay at this hotel. The experience started off great....very friendly front desk staff who were very accommodating. They even called our room within minutes to see if our room was up to satisfaction The room was great and we were made to feel welcome. the next morning....NOT SO MUCH! We wnet to the restaurant for our breakfast with was included in our stay.Well I have never experienced that type of service we received from our waitress,Absolutely disgraceful.She greeted us with "for how many" and "You can sit at one of those tables over there".....RUDE I was aked if I wanted coffee and after receiving it and saying thank you....I got no response back...This very same thing happen when she topped up my water glass a little while later. She made no effort whatsoever to come and see if evrything was ok or if we neede anything.....by this time I'm totally discusted and am ready to leave. When she sees that I am finished she comes over and simple pulls my plate away with no verbal communication at all. For someone in customer service this absolutely disgraceful and unexceptable. Our plan was to stay another night as the service on the other end was great however this experience just made me want to leave and sure does not make me want to recommend this hotel too someone else. This employee represents the hotel and her service and treatment to the guests was not acceptable. Let me make clear the she was speaking to the other guests in the restaurant but had definately singled us out. I sure hope it was not because my skin colr was not of the same as the rest in the restaurant at that time. Who knows!.....but I do know she was very rude and she turned what started off as a good experience into a very unpleasant and un welcoming one for myself and my 12 year old son.
