“Worst hotel experience I have ever had.”

  , Greenville
Go to check in and was told that they were overbooked. Waited for about 20 minutes and they said they had a room available for us. We get into the room and there is no remote and not a single towel. We head out to dinner and on our way back in ask the front desk for a remote and towels. They said they didn't have any remotes but they would get one from a dirty room. About 12:45 am they bring us a remote but no towels. Wake up the next morning and my significant other leaves for his conference. On his way out says that our room still has no towels. The front desk manager replies "Housekeeping comes in at 9". Apparently we are just supposed to wait until then to take a shower? 10:30am rolls around and I still have no towels so I call the front desk. The front desk manager again says "Housekeeping is on the floors right now and will bring you new towels". "New" towels implies that we had towels to begin with...but no. So I leave the hotel around 12 to go to lunch and run some errands. I return at 4:00pm and what do you know, housekeeping never cleaned our room and we still have NO TOWELS! At this point we were both disgusted and exhausted from dealing with it so we arranged to go stay at another hotel. As we are heading to the elevator to leave this God forsaken hotel we encounter the smell of weed. Now, as if this experience hadn't already been something out of a National Lampoon's movie (just not as humorous at the time) we then have to run the risk of law enforcement showing up and both of us possibly losing our jobs from being around illegal drugs? I go to check out and the only explanation that I received from the front desk was "We are just busy". Apparently they were just too busy to put towels in our room after multiple requests and too busy to notice that their hotel was basically just full of drugs and filth. Not to mention, this "Atrium" that they speak of used to be the outside of the basically they just built a really tall roof over what used to be a parking lot and call it a "Plaza and Conference Center". Don't be fooled by anything positive that is posted about this hotel, it is a disgrace and I'm wondering if I should be tested for diseases after staying there. The staff is anything but helpful and instead of taking action on customer concerns they just stand there and say "we're busy". I worked in a hotel my entire college career and this hotel shouldn't even be on any travel website
