“Think Twice Before Staying Here”

The first room they gave me smelled like it had just been vacated by a crowd of chain smokers. Given that much of the hotel had the faint smell of stale cigarette smoke to it, I shouldn't have been surprised, however, this was supposed to be a 100% smoke-free hotel. The second room still smelled faintly of stale smoke but the hotel was full so I was stuck. My new room also didn't have a refrigerator or microwave, but they didn't reduce the price of my room. While riding in the elevator, another hotel guest commented on how it didn't feel like the safest place. There were a number of questionable looking individuals hanging around outside and at the continental breakfast who didn't appear to be hotel guests. To top it all off, the bill they slid under my door was over $25 more than what I booked it for online. I had never received an email confirmation so I called the hotel to check that they had my reservation. The desk clerk said that there seemed to be a problem with people not being sent email confirmations when they booked online. This was very convenient for the hotel which now was charging me over $25 more than what I'd booked the room for. I needed to leave, so the desk clerk said she would look into it and call me. Of course, I never received a call.
