“Not the best experience- never again...”

This hotel experience started off poorly. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was unfriendly and not helpful. Upon entering the room, we noticed the window completely open, with no screen. We shut it, but it had no lock. In an unsafe town, it made us feel even more unsafe. The door did not have the privacy lock. It had been broken off. Breakfast was not warmed, and they fell behind on more than one occasion. The hot tub was closed, even though when I reserved the hotel, the website stated a hot tub and heated pool. The hot tub had a cover over it and when I asked they said they closed it because they couldn't afford to buy a handicap lift, which was the new state law. The "heated" pool was so warm, that it felt like we were taking a bath. The water was also not clear, but more green, and tasted like salt. When I reported all of these issues, not even an apology. The only thing that was said from the front desk staff at checkout was "We just switched owners and managers." We will never return to this hotel.
