“Little things add up”

Room looks clean until you start noticing little things...nasal debris (booger) wiped on the wall near the head board of the bed, hair on the side wall of the shower and hanging from the shower head, small cobweb hanging from the ceiling. The hotel decor and furnishings are dated and tired. A tube TV? Really? You can't even buy them anymore. Lighting is bright, too bright, in fact. A watering can provides more water pressure than the sink with the water saver faucet. At least the shower head (complete with dangling piece of hair) had decent water pressure.The mattress was comfortable enough, but the sheets may have been 50 thread count or less. Maybe a little Downy would have helped. Same with the towels. The sheets and towels did appear clean.Part of the wall board was removed from a small wall partition in order for the armoire to fit (classy). Small portions of the wall near the bed (complete with nasal debris) had areas where wall filler was used to fill attachment points for a previous lighting fixture. Apparently, the staff didn't have time to paint the wall and finish the job. At least it appeared to be sanded smooth, though. Side entrances of the hotel have a card key reader to unlock the doors but the doors don't close completely or lock, so anyone without a card key could walk right in.Staff at check in and check out had no resemblence of a uniform (not even a name tag). Would have said something about room quality at check out but the front desk employee was on the phone. Didn't really matter, as I had already decided that I will not be returning to this hotel.Outside of a cup of coffee, I did not partake in the free breakfast given the small cleaniness issues of my room. Although, I did view other guests eating breakfast and it did not appear they were having any difficulties.It goes without saying that I will not be staying at this establishment again. I had stayed here one month prior and had an 'o.k.' experience (sans nasal debris, hair and cobwebs) There is a Country Inn and Suites next door, a Hapmton Inn and Courtyard across the street that will, more than likely, see my business dollars in the future. It's too bad for Ramada, as this is an area I will need to travel to for business on a monthly basis for quite some time. Employer mandates required me to stay at a Wyndham property in the past. That situation has changed due to this Ramada 'experience'.
