“Control what you can.”

  , Topeka
I do understand that this location was going through some 'growing pains' with ongoing renovations; but some controllable things could have been done better. There were stains on our linens. The amount of noise that traveled was very bothersome; especially in terms of plumbing. I understnad that overhearing some things in the next room over may happen, but we couldn't sleep through the toilets flushing or showers running in the next room- that's how loud the sounds were in our rooms. The water-resort was very drafty, and made the swimming experience almost completely unpleasant. The elevators (which I understand are part of the renovation process) were a problem- 1 was down, 1 was scary-slow, and 1 worked fine, but just appeared old and scary. I thought it was odd that there were no liners in the little trash cans in the rooms, but I understand if that's policy. When making the reservation I was not told where to go to check-in (nor did I understand that that would be a problem). I saw 2 other vehicles have the same problem finding the 'front' office at the same time I was wondering around. I feel a lot of the problem are bound to improve, but some things could already be done better. If I had paid walk-in price I would probably be more upset. The stay ended up being worth about what I paid for it, which was heavily discounted.
