“Not what was expected, with the name Ramada”

  , North Las Vegas
I understand that this location was a older model and currently undergoing some renovation and for my length of stay I really expected to be accommodated just a little better.Example, we had to carry our bags up a flight of stairs when I really thought there should have been some elevators, a cart or some sort of service for this, even if I had to pay, I would have. I really liked what was offered for breakfast, but everyday, the food and especially the fruits looked. The dining area could have been kept up a little better, but I know the same person working the front desk was trying to monitor the dining area also and given what she had, she did a good job.Maybe this was due to short staff, but going back and forth from the front desk to the dining area just didn't appear like something I thought I would see at a Ramada. The room was also what I thought would have been better given the name Ramada.Like I said before, I know this location was undergoing some renovation, but I was told the room I was given had recently been remodeled. If this is the case, this particular room wasn't impressive at all.It was much much smaller than what I expected and seen on the Internet. The painting on the wall was at the least, three to four layer thick. The curtains appeared to be very old and smelly.I really did not like the idea of having a coffee pot plugged into an electrical outlet on the counter directly next to the sink in the bath area. This was a safety concern of mines also.I had a king size bed that came with four pillows.I did not understand why the pillows were tucked in a way to make them so small and subsequently uncomfortable.Overall, these pillows were not the right ones for this bed. With a king size bed I would expect king size pillows.I also did not expect the bathing area with the toilet to be so tiny and cramped. This really need some attention. The quality of the towels were less than average until I requested some more and were happily issued.Once again, for the length of stay, I felt I should not have to asked to be serviced at a certain level. The location of the hotel and the service of the staff were great. It appeared they were making the best with what they had and they took pride in their job.Because of their great attitude, I made sure I gave a tip (generous) everyday.I know this may appear to be a lot, but like I mentioned before, with the name Ramada, I just expected a whole lot more.
