“Staff made it really bad.”

  , Meaford
I booked my 2 night stay through Hotwire. I have told Hotwire already that this seems to make the staff treat you bad. I asked when checking in if they might have a room with a King bed. I was told that the hotel was sold out. It was kind of funny seeing like 20 cars in the parking lot all night. I blamed Hotwire again as the hotels seem to have no respect for guests booking through them. Then after our first night there and first day of shopping, my wife dropped me off at the back of the hotel , I could not get back into my room. I walked all the way around to the front desk. I was told that they had no record of me (funny we had already stayed a night,my stuff was still in the room) then I was promptly asked for id. I was then asked to re-sign all of my forms again. Then in walks the person that I signed all the forms with the day before. I asked if he remembered me, he said he did, but they must have lost my form. I asked and cancelled my room key ? No comment. Not even an apology. Later that night I tried to make a local call. I kept getting a busy signal. I phoned the front desk, she told me to dial 9 . Really I am not 9 years old. I told her I was doing that. She said try again there is nothing wrong with your phone. I did and it still did not work. I phoned down again, the girl seemed like it was her whom should be bothered. She said well sometimes this happens I will try and get someone to reset the phone. I asked her if she could call me back when that was done. She said just try the phone in 1/2 an hour. I said I need it before then please call me back when it is fixed. 15 minutes later it was reset. Whew it was like pulling teeth. Again no apology, is this not something they are taught to be courteous ? A very poor attitude in this hotel.Mistakes happen, how they are handled is very important.Simply the worst experience ever in a hotel, I am sorry to say. I have already asked your hotel to be removed from my Hotwire list. You honestly have a staff problem here.Sincerely Michael Heesenps-my room 236 has a knob broken off one of the lights, it does not appear to be a recent thing if you see it , looks like it has been that way for months.
