“barking dog”

We had driven for 10 hours on our way back to Florida after a family funeral in Minnesota and stopped at this Ramada. I purposely stopped at this hotel rather than the Comfort Inn or the Holiday Express because my wife had never been to a Ramada before and I had told her of the quality I remembered from past experiences with Ramada. This hotel was more expensive than the nearby hotels. We checked in to a room and found the room to be clean but rather in need of updating/refurbishing. We decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and since there was a brochure in our room indicating a fish and fries special on Fridays for $6.99 we decided we were going to have that. After going to the restaurant we couldn't find the special and after asking we were told it was only available in the bar area so we went there only to find that there was a $3 cover charge. The waitress told us we indeed could get the fish special at the restaurant by asking for it specificall. Upon returning to the restaurant we were told that the information we recieved was incorrect and we could have fish on the buffet they featured for $9.99. As we were tired we decided to have the buffet which turned out to be of very poor quality. We went back to our room after dinner and after getting in bed for the night, we were awakened by a dog barking constantly in the room next door. I called the front desk and informed them of this and it took more than an hour to quieten the dog. After all of this, we finally slept and woke in the morning and went to the restaurant at 6:30am for the complementary "hot" breakfast and discovered that they had not opened the restaurant (we were told it opened at 6am). I attempted to call the front desk to check on this and there was no answer. We were extremely disappointed in this experience and feel that a refund is in order.
