“NEVER AGAIN!!!”

When we arrived at the hotel, our room door wouldn't open and the key card didn't seem to open the door. I asked the night receptionist twice to resolve the problem and he made us wait over 10 minutes in the freezing cold as the room doors open to the outside like a motel. Eventually an extremely rude and abrupt man of indian or asian descent appeared and was not in uniform, he just barked at us and put the key in, then forced the door open as it was sticky. The room was what I would call extremely average. My wife found that 3 out of the 4 pillows on the bed had black hairs on the pillowcases (my wife is blonde!). The mattress was beyond uncomfortable (at a slant and very lumpy). At breakfast the next day, we discovered that the "dining room" had only two tables, and they were crammed in so close that if someone was sitting at the table, one could not navigate around the very small breakfast bar. The food at the breakfast bar was very poor quality. The biscuits (to be used for biscuits and gravy) were completely inedible (crumbly, dry, hard as a rock). The selection was below average, even for a middle-of-the-road motel. When we booked the Ramada, we were not expecting amazing luxury, but we were expecting a few standards to be met, such as cleanliness, pleasant and polite staff, and edible breakfast. We were extremely disappointed. So much so that we checked out after one night and moved to a different hotel down the road. I would not recommend staying at this hotel as we had a very negative experience.
