Hotel was conveniently located close to the airport and a short walking distance to restaurants. The shuttle service was slow and we had to wait for a second shuttle after the driver took a second group of people who had arrived later than our party of six even though we had called. Lack of communication I guess. Check in was fine. Our room was not. It smelled and we had to spray air freshener from the cleaning staff who was more interested in talking on her cell phone than assisting us with our concerns. The initial appearance of the room was fine until we got to the bathroom. The sink and counter had clearly been knocked off the wall before as you could see it had been glued back and was hanging at an odd angle. There was something white sprayed all up the back of the bathroom door. Not sure what it was. The wall paper was peeling in several places and the tub had more chips and rust in it than I have seen in a hotel tub in while. We found hair in the bathroom and a candy wrapper upon the floor near the air conditioner. We are not picky people and knew that the price was right and therefore we were expecting less of our accommodation, when you find all of these simple things missed, you can't help but wonder what else has been missed. Our other party traveling with us had a reservation made for 2014 by accident and the hotel was not able to accommodate them so they had to go down the road to the Marriott and had a much better stay but did pay more. The next morning at breakfast, it says they are done by ten and no doubt, they are done by ten. Don' t even think about showing up for breakfast a few minutes before ten. We did and there was nothing left. Our own fault but staff in the breakfast area was more focused on getting everything put away. No one ever even said a word to us or asked us if they could help us. Lesson learned. The front desk staff was friendly enough and the price was good, other than that, I have nothing else good to say. For not much more money we could have found a better hotel. I would not stay there again and think that there are better options out there if you look.
