Dear guest, we are sorry for the palmeto bugs in your room, they are native to florida and since our rooms are outside excessible we have a problem with every now and then but they are not cockroaches. We do have massey to spray very often, to let you know we are working on it. concerning the bars in the rooms, I am not sure of what you are trying to say, we do have bars in all our handi cap excessible rooms. But we do not in our regular rooms, so if you didnt ask for a handicapp room you would not have saftey bars in you bathroom. As far as the resturant is concerned we lease the resturant and it is operated as a seperate entity, we do not dictate what hours they are to open, they make their own hours and sunday is the only day they are not open but that was the day you stayed. If you needed saftey bars to shower it seems you would have contacted the front desk for a handicapp room, sundays are very slow and i am sure we would have had them availalble, also someone would have removed the palmeto bugs for you also if we had known. We are more than willing to work with our guests to correct a problem or find other solutions when we are notified there is a problem. It seems that a guest would address the problems they are having while they are here to make their stay more enjoyable other than waiting to complain after they leave when nothing can be done. thank you odell f.o.m. « hide

Dear Guest ; i went to the room in question which was rm, 123 a smoking room, took my shoes off but i an sorry i did not get the same result as you did. However the room does reak of smoke smell mixed with the deodorizer the housekeepers spray. I also saw you had a rate of 44.99 which is for single occupancy, but that you mentioned your husband who was going to sleep on the floor, which would have been $10.00 more per night for 2 people, also the fact that you chose to stay in that same room for 3 days without letting us know is puzzlilng.We did have other rooms available to move to. I understood you said you had a reservation and since you did not list the smoking odor on your comment i figure that was ok. So all in all i think you got your moneys worth seeing that you saved $ 30.00 just by having only 1 person in your room. then again there wasnt only 1 perosn. thank you odell « hide

Dear guest; i regret to hear that you are going to stay elsewhere.because i am the one who changed your room . I saw on your request that you wanted rm 131, but that room decided to stay over on the date of your arrival so i put you in rm 127 which was close to it. You have stayed here before but we cannot guarentee which room you get because of guests stayin over in rooms they were scheduled to check out of. I hope your complaints have nothing to do with the fact that we were not able to fill your request, becasuse you had not complained before on your previous stay. If your reason for not staying with us again is that you cannot get a certain room, then i apologize, but its just not something we can predict., and hope you can find a hotel that can predict when a guest is leaving or not. « hide

Dear Guest, i am sorry that you did not enjoy your visit with us. after checking rm 126 wich was the room you stayed in i tried to figure out what you meant by the 80,s. Our bedspreads are less than a year old, so i think the decor is a matter of opinion but i wouldnt describe it as grubby. I found no smell, but if you did, then i dont see why you didnt contact the front desk to move to another room, or just check out, instead of spending the night in a room you describe as smelling horrible. The bathroom was FULLY functional but yes the bathroom fan did squeak but not as your described it, a little oil and it was quiet as a mouse. We have had complaints before concerning the shower tempature fluctuating, and found that when we are full and alot of people decide to shower at the same time the hot and cold water does fluctuate. Last but not least there was no roach's in the room i inspected either dead or alive. I guess that is a matter of opinion also. we are glad you found accomodations elswhere and hope you dont find as many things to complain about there as you did here. « hide

Dear guest, i do apologize for the laundry being terrible although i dont understand what you are refering to. the linnens in your room or the guest laundry room. If it were your linnes in your room we could have replaced those had we known. The resturant is leased so the hours for the resturant is beyond our control, toll calls are free, we have a full breakfast at the request of our regular patrons. So if you feel our competitors which may offer a continental breakfast is your best bargain then we wish you well, if you can get the 44.99 rate elsewhere that you got here. thank you f.o.m odell « hide
