The stay at the Lakewood Ramada was generally acceptable for business. Plenty of amenities with microwave, fridge, coffee maker. There was one issue I reported though. The first night there was loud talking, laughing & door slamming outside my room. I looked through the peepholeand saw several men with oversized luggage outside my door. This was repeated 3 more times with other groups of men entering the room; talking loudly etc. Not only was it disturbing but it made me uncomfortable and unsafe. This went on for an hour before I went to the lobby to request another room as I could neither work nor be able to go to sleep. On my way to the lobby I noticed the room across from mine was wall to wall luggage and people, none of whom had been speaking English. I thought these people are cheating the hotel, breaking fire marshall laws. For that matter they could be illegals [dangerous or not] from Mexico or some other Hispanic speaking area. I kept my husband on my cell while I changed rooms, making 2 trips for the 2 trips it took. I reported all to the front desk and requested a room as close as possible to it. I considered checking out but was really exhausted by then. I considered calling the police to check on these people, but my husband advised to let the hotel handle matters. Reported the story to the am desk receptionist. Stayed another night without incident.
