“This hotel is well situated for shopping and dining - Red...”

This hotel is well situated for shopping and dining - Red Lobster is within walking distance and Westfield Mall is directly across the street . The majority of staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. However, our room left much to be desired as the stench of mold greeted us immediately at the door. We later discovered that mold was growing heavily in the bathroom. The glass doors/windows were dirty, so it was best to keep the curtains closed to avoid the tinted view. However, the curtains were not properly fitted /cut as we had to use our suitcase to cover about a 12 X 14 gap. This is not a hotel that we instantly felt was comfortably clean, nor were we eager to snuggle in the beds - although they are quite comfortable. This hotel is workable for a shopping trip providing you will spend the majority of time off premises. BUT, I must say the hotel has improved in recent years. On one of our previous visits we encountered a huge black scorpion in the room - one can imagine what a havoc that caused with young children. Oh, another issue we encountered is that every time we exited the room for a few hours we had to report to the Front Desk to have our key updated to allow us entry into our room. This was a real bummer! Overall this is not the worst of hotels as the location is superb and the free shuttle service to and from the airport is an added bonus.
