“Ft. Walton Beach”

2nd time I have stayed here. I was going to stay because I was carrying my pet. She could not make the trip so I changed to an ocean front room.Even though ocean front, the rooms are overcharged for the updated rooms. I didn't receive my e-mail confirmation. I called to request it and you would think I was putting that operator to a lot of trouble to ask her to resend it. Upon arrival, the 4th floor ice maker didn't work on the first 2 days. The first morning, the maid just came walking in - said she didn't realize anyone was in this room. First day of maid service, they didn't even put the pillows back on my bed! Other than a fluorescent piece of paper in the dash, there was NO security anywhere on this property. Nothing to keep beach goers from just walking the property or going to the pool. The downstairs entry to my building was always wide open. I walked by staff members next to the elevator. They never even spoke. You would NEVER find a Hampton Inn employee not recognize or say hello to a hotel guest. Next time I will stay in Pensacola or Destin.
