“NO HOT WATER?!”

Having lost time due to a weather problem in the northeast, we decided to stop for the night and resume our trip the following day. We were expecting a comfortable room and a hot bath. After checking in and assessing the room (looked fine), we went to dinner and returned about 7:30pm. This is not a high hot water use period, so we were surprised to discover the water was not hot enough to yield even a 2" bath. We spoke to the front desk. They sent "maintenance" (who said he was a cook but the maintenance person was off duty). He acknowledged that there was not enough hot water for a bath and suggested we could get a refund and go elsewhere. We called the front desk, who said they would have maintenance check it the next day. When we checked out the next day, there was no note in our room notes, the clerk was sorry we were disappointed and wished us a good day. Not likely to ever return to a Ramada again.
