“We wont stay again”

  , Montrose
We made a reservation about 10 days prior to our trip. We were in town for the Broncos game. When we got to the motel at about 3:15, there was a large group of guests waiting in the lobby with very annoyed reactions on their faces. We proceeded to the counter to be told our room was not ready but they were trying to hurry and get them cleaned as quickly as possible. That made me nervous, not only were they not ready and we were on a schedule but how clean would the rooms actually be if they were trying to clean some 40+ rooms. The receptionist said she was taking a mental picture of guests as they came in to accomodate them in order as rooms were clean. However, the group got larger as time went on and pretty soon, there was no first in line, mental picture order. Our 'room' was given to a couple who walked right up to the desk just as a room was clean. Frustrated, we finally got a room at about 4 pm. The whole atmosphere was gross to say the least. $120/night for this??? Our room was not clean. The sheets had cigarette burns in them. We had our 2 kids with us and were not going to allow them to sleep like that. We called the front desk, someone immediatly came to the room to tell us those sheets were clean, they just changed them this morning. If our sheets were changed that morning, why were we waiting for our room to be cleaned? After explaining that we were not accepting that and paying $120/night for burns in our sheets, they were changed. Needless to say, we all slept with as much clothing on as possible, showered with flip flops on and couldn't wait to escape. We will never stay at a RAMADA again or recommend it.
