“Bowling Green Amateur Championships”

I definitely enjoyed my stay and would come back to this hotel if I was to come back to the area. I booked a room at the Ramada because my friends and I were coming down from WI to stay Thurs-Sun. The lobby and front desk areas are clean and the desk clerks were friendly. I had no problems checking in. Thought it was a little bizarre that you needed a key for the outside doors and then also your actual room key card. It was a little frustrating keeping track of both, but we managed to do so. There are a few things to be mindful of- the hot foods at breakfast and the furniture. The hot items at breakfast may be hot/fresh at first but if you notice that the lid is always open on the hot food items causing everything to be cold/room temperature. The breakfast attendant is very nice and friendly, but she instructed guests to leave the cover OPEN causing all the food to go cold and lose all the heat. I was not happy bringing my hot food items to the room to re-heat them in our microwave and then go back and get whatever else I wanted for breakfast. The gravy is bland and tastes straight out of a can or bag/frozen- it just lacks flavor overall tastes like flour and water. The sausage was ok but the majority of them were burnt and dry. Not sure how they make their breakfast items but once they are out for service- they need to be rotated and covered to keep hot. They did have a great variety of options to eat though and the coffee was really good!The other issue I had was the furniture in the room. It's not dated and it's not worn down. The room looked freshly remodeled/repainted, new carpet, awesome beds, very nice bathrooms but the furniture was deceiving. Instead of being made out of wood like the exterior of it all showed- it's really made out of plastic/metal which makes a "tinking" sound if you knock on it. Just made me think cheap for such a nice hotel. The lighting in our room wasn't the greatest which made it hard on the eyes at times as well. Our TV cable was lose and we needed Maintenance/Security to come in and adjust it to get it to work again. Their pool is outdoors and out of service so we were unable to use the hot tub or pool. I was never told about the fitness center or business center which both I would've used had I known where they were located.
