“Location, location, location.”

  , Nepean
The New Yorker has arguably a really good location; next to subway service, parking garages, eateries and shopping. It is minutes by walking or subway to the Theatre District or even to the Greenwich (one subway ride in less than 10 minutes!) The rooms are very small, but clean, newly renovated and very comfortable pillow mattress beds. We had the View Room which looked out at the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building, and it was a spectacular view. The only drawback was the bathroom was not heated, and shelving space was very constrained that the kleenex box was in the room and not the bathroom. But it was manageable for two nights, and really for a short stay nothing to complain about. The rates in the winter are a little on the high side for the winter, considering to other similar range hotels, but here the New Yorker wins with its location. We had a comfortable stay and would be back again.
