“Friendly staff but tired looking hotel in need of major renovation”

  , Howell
This hotel is extremely overpriced since it is way overdue for major renovations. Everything looks tired and worn out. The chairs in our room were beat up and torn. The bathroom is also in need of renovation. The coffee machine in our room was broken. The booth seats in the restaurant are all cracked and the padding is worn out. The variety of the breakfast buffet was adequate but the scrambled eggs were cold. There is an unpleasant odor that greets you when you enter the hotel lobby. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The location was handy and the views from the top of the hill were beautiful. This place could be a gold mine but it needs a lot of TLC. If one is paying over a $100 for a room, one expects something better. Assume they are able to charge as much as they do because of its proximity to WVU.
