“Terrible business manager!”

I made a reservation, was not told either verbally or via the email they sent me with my confirmation number about the 4pm 24 hour cancellation policy. I called the hotel at noon the day of my arrival and left a message on the answering machine to change my reservation by one day, I also left my phone number and asked them to call me back. When I did not hear from them by 5 pm the same day, I called back and spoke to a very rude "Johnny B". He told me the computer had already charged me for two days, that he never checked his voice messages for his business phone and that there was nothing he could do.Any reasonable hotel has a 6 pm day of arrival cancellation policy (or at least notes something different on the confirmation email). I checked my credit card and it had not been charged until after I spoke with the very rude "Johnny B". Something really smells at this place of business.
