“For the price...”

The biggest selling point is its proximity to the airport (iah). There are also several shopping centers and resturants nearby. Those are the only two benefits to staying here. The rooms were recently repainted and have new(er) furniture, so the room looks good but as soon as I opened my room, I was immediately overwhelmed by a moldy odor. It wasnt a smell I got used to either and continued to smell it for the entire stay.Any repairs done to the room seemed to be 'half assed' at best, referring to some work that was done to the bath tub, which looked like it was fixed by a high school kid.The day time staff was nice, friendly and knowledgable. I did catch the nightshift inn keeper sleeping behind the counter and had to wake her up. I worked several different nightshifts at different jobs before, so I can understand dozing off, but not right at the front desk.I paid 59 dollars for the night (originally 89) but still feel that I paid too much. Additionally, throughout the night I had to double check that pillow case was indeed still on the pillow. This was because that they felt so old or thin that I thought I was sleeping on plastic. There are other nicer, newer hotels on the same road that I will probably use next time. I dont plan on staying here again.
