“Oct. Stay”

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, but I stayed on the 3rd floor, the ice machine did not work, there were no vending machines in this hotel either. Every time you needed a drink or something to snack on, you would have to drive to the closet gas station or the all in one store near by. When I had gotten off the elevator there was a strange mentholated odor in the air and it was overly warm. The room I had stayed in, which was a smoking room, had no real air circulation, as well as a strange odor. The air conditioning unit case was literally falling off the wall as well. The staff was great, but the rooms could use some work, and maybe a better means of ventilation. The room was quiet for the most part, unless you used the hot water. Which the hot water is the only thing I can assume was making that noise, which was a popping, pipes adjusting sort of noise. Otherwise it was a good stay for the price I paid, which was deeply discounted through Wyndam rewards program and the stay 3 and save, but I could NOT imagine staying there for full price, I would have been EXTREMELY disappointed. The Tv sat on the dresser in the room, making it awkward to view from bed, and the remote you had to switch through every channel in order to change channels, the tv programming left something to be desired, No HBO no frills whatsoever. But my main complaint was the odor and the air quality in the room, because you cannot open a window and the only air circulation was from the half broken air conditioning/ heating unit in the wall. Additionally, the ice machine did not work on the 3rd floor, apparently there was only one that was working and I believe it was somewhere on the first. Plus... who has a smoking room without ashtrays??? This hotel or at least this room. Which I can excuse, I understand that people steal things, but... It was more comfortable to smoke outside than in the room anyways because of the air quality and ventilation issue.
