Booked a room at this hotel and arrived at 4:30pm. Had to ring front desk for attendant. When he came to the front "reading a book" he handed me the key and told me I was in #109. I did not get cell service so I e-mailed everyone to let them know I arrived ok. I had a shower then went to bed. While I was asleep my husband tried to contact me and I was not answering his email of course because I was sleeping. He called the front desk and asked to be put through to my room. When he did not get a response the attendant told him that I had left about an hour before and not yet returned to my room. My husband called and called as did my mom & my in-laws. All of them asked if he maybe had written down the wrong room, but he insisted I was in room #107. The attendant refused to check any other rooms as he said it was not allowed. They eventually dispatched the police who came down and checked room #107 and found I was not there, but my car was in the lot. In the interim my husband made the 5 hr. trip to the hotel from Edmonton. I awoke to noise in the hallway around 2am and went to the door to see what was going on. I saw my husband knocking on another guests door and when he saw me he couldn't believe it - I was in room #109 the whole time. Meanwhile the police and search & rescue were out looking for me. My 11 year old daughter and my son were home sick with worry as were the rest of my family. My husband went to the desk to confront the attendant who just shrugged it off and didn't even apologize. The registry had me down in room #107 I was not required to sign in - there were only 4 other rooms occupied in the entire hotel. After the police came to verify that it was indeed me in the room we finally went to sleep at 3:30am. When we were checking out my husband asked the girl at the desk to have the owner of the hotel call us as soon as possible. She could not believe what had happened to us and apologized on behalf of her associate. Five days later - we have still not received a call from the owner or anyone else from the hotel. We have vowed NEVER to stay at Ramada again! Especially this one.
