“First stay at Ramada”

I think the problems we encountered were due to hotel management and not enough staff. The biggest issue were the floors, they looked clean but after my grandchildren walked barefoot their feet were black! While the wood laminate is nice using a steam cleaner would have made me feel I was in a better hotel. The second issue was the AC. We left it on while going out for about 5 hours, it seemed to cool as we were leaving. We came back to a humid warm room, we had to open the window and try to fall asleep with a loud TV blaring from a residence behind the hotel. This was just not in our room as we reserved two and our family members in the room next to us experienced the same AC issue! The third issue was the door, simply shutting it did not completely close it and it would pop open at any time. The breakfast selection was sparse and not very tasty, the waffle iron was old and the waffle taste reflected this. Towels were an issue - pool side were not available - though they were brought to us poolside, and when the room was cleaned they were not restocked but were brought later. Please note this was not the staff's fault - more staffing would have helped with this! In addition, we were shocked at the 'business center' charging for printing! Never in any other hotel have we encountered charges for printing. We do want it to be known that the regular staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, however our overall stay was marred by the lack of enough staff and proper equipment (steam cleaner) to do their jobs. It is very unlikely we would choose to stay at a Ramada again.
