“Disappointment”

I've stayed at this property once before with friends, but this visit I traveled alone to attend a friend's wedding nearby. Unfortunately this time around I had not one but two bad experiences with staff. First of all, I only planned to stay one night, which happened to be the same day as the wedding which meant I wouldn't have been able to check-in until really late in the evening. To preempt this situation I called ahead inquiring if it would be possible to request an early check-in time since it would be more convenient for me to get ready at the hotel rather than having to drive a whole hour and a half in a dress and full on make-up. I was happy to hear from Janet, the manager, that I she could accommodate me at 1p as an early check-in. I arrive at the hotel at 2p, one hour after the time she had quoted me to find out that there were no rooms available, and that they don't typically reserve early check-in, that is in fact based on a 1st come 1st serve basis. So luckily I had at least showered before I arrived, but had to find somewhere to get ready for the wedding. If it wasn't for the public bathroom in the lobby, I would've had to change in my CAR, of all places in 96 degree weather. I scrambled to make due with the little public bathroom. I was not a happy camper. To top it off, the associate at the front desk didn't seem at all concerned about my situation. No I'm sorry, but I'll let you know as soon as a room is ready, or even let me see if we have at least one room almost ready. Just, "Sorry, that's our policy but you can speak to our manager when she gets in at 3p" which is after the wedding started. When I had a chance to talk to the manager, all she did was apologize, but didn't offer an type of consolation for the stress and trouble I had gone through. This was soooooooooo not worth the price I paid to be treated this way. I should've stayed at Quality Inn which had better reviews. Since my first experience was actually nice, I thought they'd be consistent. Definitely will never come back.
