“Not-so-great stay at Ramada”

We were put up in this hotel by United Airlines due to flight rescheduling. Poor first impression: bad/old décor, no fresh coffee available (only in room which mine had a missing sweetener out of it--wasn't replaced by housekeeping), fork and luggage tag found under bed from previous guest, clock radio had wrong time which I didn't realize, garbage bins in room were so small I couldn't even fit my garbage, elevator was so small--couldn't fit luggage cart and 2 adults and 2 kids. The room had a safe (not sure why--perhaps bad neighbourhood!). I was put in a room on the second floor. So we hauled up all our luggage, let hubby and kids go up before me because I didn't fit in elevator with them only to get to the second floor and realize that at the end of the hallway, we had to go down about 7 steps to actually get to our room, thus not being able to use the luggage cart any further! No Wi/Fi available. Who doesn't offer this these days?! During my 11-day stay in California, I saw no mosquitoes or flies. However, there were two flies in the room we were in! Gross! I would never pay $110+ to stay in a hotel like this. Although it was free, I would not stay there again for free. When I mentioned all this to the front desk, she said they had never had any complaints before!!!
