“Disappointed”

I picked this hotel with my family for two reasons. It had good reviews and accepted pets. I also noticed when I checked in that it was AAA approved facility. I thought who could go wrong with that? We check in, told we were overbooked, and then given a glorified "jacuzzi suite" upgrade. The hotel appeared to be clean, but once I started to unload my stuff, I started noticing things. The remote was missing for the TV, there was food on the tables next to the couch, there was food all over the base boards of the room, the floor didn't look like it was vacuumed, and the mini fridge inside the room needed to be defrosted, the ice was overflowing into the fridge. The room was kind of scary dirty. At this point I was just praying that the bed and the bathrooms were as clean as they appeared. I called the front desk but the person assisting there didn't care at all. I later tried to talk to the morning receptionist person and she didn't care either. The manager was left a note and the receptionist verified that my note was in the system, but never returned my call. I would not stay here again, in fear of how clean the room wasn't the first time.
