“Monterey Visit”

  , Citrus Heights
We spent two nights at this property at the end of July. For those who are not local to the area, there are several events going on in the Monterey Peninsula during this particular weekend and the hotels in the area tend to significantly increase their rates as demand for rooms increases. We chose the Ramada in Marina as our hotel due to it being the most reasonably priced chain hotel we could find in the area. It was exactly as we expected, far from luxury but certainly not a dump. I wished I had researched the location a bit more, as it was much farther from the freeway than I was expecting, making it a little more inconvenient to get to our destinations. I did feel like the hotel was seriously understaffed and felt sympathetic to the young man who had to simultaneously handle the front desk and the complementary breakfast (of which he did quite well). In the future, I would prefer to stay in a more central location, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.
