“Very dirty”

  , Beaufort
I recently stayed here for 3 nights for work and the room was very dirty. I had a parking lot view room and the balcony looked like it had never been cleaned. There were cigarette butts on the window sill and on the balcony and ashes everywhere outside. As soo as you opened the room to the balcony it smelled like an ashtray. Inside the room I don't think they ever dusted behind the tv. Very dirty. I kept the air conditioning set on 60 and the blinds closed and the only time the room cooled off was early in the morning. I think it was so hot because of the parking lot heating up every day. I stayed on the 5th floor so I can't imagine how hot it must have been on the lower floors. The hallways and public areas were very hot as well. I couldnt find one cleaning person that could speak English.Sabrina, the bird in the lobby was very pretty but with all the warning signs you never knew if she was going to attack you when you walked by or not. I think this is a great liability for the hotel owner but theta think since they have posted signs that she will bite that everything is ok. I know several people got bit during my stay. This would really bother me if I had small children with me.If I have a choice the next time I will not stay here. For this hotel to have just went through a major renovation I can't even imagine what shape it was in before.
