“Not what I hoped for”

I don't recommend this hotel if you want heated hallways, hot water and good lighting in the bathroom. The hallways were very cold. The water took 4-5 minutes to get warm, not hot. Our room had a "hot tub" that would have been a huge disappointment if we had wanted to use it. The bedroom in our suite was very nice and the comfort of the bed was great. When we arrived, it was cold in the bedroom, but within a couple of hours it heated up nicely.We chose this hotel because we were looking for a room with a fireplace in it. The fireplace was very nice. A problem that we did run into, though, was that it was controlled by a knob that you turn that is a timer. When the time ran out and I went to restart it, it wouldn't come on. Within minutes of me calling the front desk, she personally came up to reset the outlet in the bathroom and then it worked again. I had to reset it every time the timer ran down. Rather annoying, but at least we had a fire.The appearance of the door to our suite also caused me a little concern. It was quite beat up and you could see that they replaced the latch that would normally have a chain that you could secure the door with because the holes were there from where the old one was. There was no chain, but thankfully, there was a dead bolt that was in working order.The only other bad thing about our room was the heating unit in the kitchen that heats everything but the bedroom, was very loud and rattly. I finally had to just shut it off because it was driving me nuts.The staff was great. Our breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Checkout was quick and easy. If this hotel wants repeat customers, they really need to pay a little more attention to detail. Heated hallways, hot water...should not be too much to ask for.
