“Beautiful Hotel with below average staff”

This is a beautiful hotel but there are some major problems with staff. Our stay began with a error on the type of room we had booked. When booking on line with the Ramada web site I requested two queens. Upon arrival we were given a king and sofa bed. For a 4 night stay with two adults this was not satisfactory. When I asked to have it switched to what we had reserved two months prior I was told it wasn't possible and that I shouldn't have booked on line. Then the next two nights were shared with a uncontroled group of cheerleading teanagers staying in town for a competition. There seemed to be no effort until I complained twice to keep things pleasent for the other guests. The staff running the continental were slow and we had to always asked for the coffee to be out as well as food that had ran out. The hallways and elevator were dirty from the time we got there until we left. There was also candy under my sofa bed form a previous guest that had never been cleaned up. The hot tub was broken when we got there and still wasn't running when we left. The pool wasn't working for the first day either.This is a beautiful hotel with a great continental breakfast. If the staff made a small effort to keep it clean and running it would have been a great place to stay. My suggestion is that management gets more invloved and makes sure the staff is doing their job.
