“The biggest disappointment”

I have always known Ramada to be a nicer hotel. A friendly, respectable place that's kept clean and looks great. I unfortunately did not experience that this time. I was completely disappointed with the room at this Ramada. It had a mildew smell, there was some sort of water leak in the ceiling that had been very poorly repaired, the doors and walls were dirty like no one had ever wiped them down, there were no towels or wash cloths the lights didn't work upon entering and we had to go ask the front desk for bulbs to change out and when she came she handed them to us to change and walked away. The ironing board was broken and there was no alarm clock in the room! When I went to speak to someone about all of this she said "well you wanted on the main floor and that's where we let our guests with pets stay" I said so if u have a pet then you don't get a decent room? She offered to move us to a nicer room on the second level and I said is it the same price? She said it was. I said then why isn't this one just as nice? She was very short with me and would not give any type of discount or anything. Just to pack up our bags and move to the second level room. We were too tired to mess with it and just said forget it. The next morning we asked to speak to a manager but I guess they don't get in until 9:30 there and we had to leave before then. Oh, and the breakfast that we were so looking forward to was terrible. For the rest of our vacation in Colorado (4 more nights) I made sure NOT to stay in a Ramada.
