“The online pictures of the hotel presented it as updated...”

The online pictures of the hotel presented it as updated and clean. However, what was presented and the reality were two entirely different things. I was directed to go through the restaurant, out the glass door, through the white gate and down the walkway to the elevator. On my way to the elevator, my way was partially blocked by two men sitting in chairs in the corridor with beer cans all around them. It definitely made me feel uncomfortable passing them. It was not at all what I expected in a Ramada. Once I got to the room and saw the condition, I wanted to leave on the spot, but because my room was a prepaid special, there was no cancellation and no refund. The room was outdated with heavily stained carpets and a peculiar odor. There was a gap between the door and the door frame, so light came in through that space and added to my discomfort. In addition, the washcloths were stained and I was concerned about sleeping in the bed since I questioned the cleanliness of the entire room. Needless to say, I did not sleep well and I was on the first shuttle out of there in the morning. I can honestly say this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I would never return. Before this stay, I have had positive experiences with Ramada and other Wyndham hotels. However, I was appalled that the Ramada name was on this place as it was not the quality I would have expected. It did not fit with my perception of this brand. As a result, I will take my business elsewhere and no longer plan to stay at any hotels from this chain of hotels. It's unfortunate that one bad experience can tarnish our perception of a place, but it has in this case and I am no longer a customer.
