“Shame on you!”

  , Sammamish
100 problem! First, the staff did their best, I feel sorry for the staff who obviously try to take pride in their work while in this run down building. The rooms were clean and orderly, but I would like to know when was the last time an executive of Ramada, or Wyndham stayed at this hotel?! The first room: had a very nice large TV, along with a loud but excellent working air conditioner. The room was next to the stair well, it faced the RR tracks with Amtrak running every 15-20 minutes, the door to the room didn't fit, there were dark brown marks on the walls where previous pictures used to hang, the door to the toilet/shower room had a cut out area so that it didn't hit the toilet when it opened, and the bathroom fan was louder than the air conditioner. We were on the top floor and there were water marks on the popcorn ceiling from previous roof leaks. Due to the noise, we asked for and were given another room. The second room: It was a larger room, with nice art work and no dark marks on the walls. The pillows were comfortable and the door fit better. There was no train noise, some I-5 traffic noise...but not bad. The air conditioner worked well, but again was very loud. The room had been a smoking room and no amount of freshener is going to mask the odor from decades of smoking. Again this was a top floor unit with several large water marks on the popcorn ceiling from leaks. The floor slanted back to the dressing/sink area and the shower/toilet floor slanted toward the sink, it was like a rollercoaster. The back side of the bathroom door had been repaired but not completely painted. There is no way I would sit in the cloth covered chairs from the 1970's with the same cushions, which are now flat, and on the back of the chairs were grease marks from where, god knows how many, heads had been. The worst part was the fitted sheet on the bed; it was so old it felt like sand paper....I could not sleep on it. All night long I kept thinking how in the morning, I was going to take that sheet to the front desk and demand to watch an employee rip it to shreds so that no one else would ever endure another night sleeping on it. My only thought was how this would embarrass the staff who is only working with what they have been given. I'm not even going to go into the holes in the stucco, the missing roof tiles around the courtyard, or the filthy dirty pool. Ramada/Wyndham...shame on you!
