“Snetsinger trip”

We are from Toronto, Canada and have stayed @ this hotel several times when we visit our son who lives in New York. We have enjoyed our stay except for one other time. Re: this trip - I booked 3 nights and requested a balcony room. The gentleman I spoke with from the hotel said he could accommodate my request and gave us a 3rd floor non-smoking balcony room. My husband and son arrived and were put in a smoking room above the bar. When my husband questiioned this, the lady @ the front desk was rude and abrupt and said that was the only room available. Had it not been late and had my husband known of another reasonably priced hotel, he and my son would have left. The noise from the bar could be heard in the their room into the wee hours of the morning. The noise was so loud, in fact, that our son had to leave the room and go to the car to sleep as he had to get up @ 6:00 a.m. for work. My husband, who never complains about where we stay, voiced his frustration with this Ramada experience. I am glad I received your survey, as I was going to call the hotel today re: the above.
