“Good value for price - check-in was frustrating”

The stay was good value.Frustrated with check-in staff when I first arrived. My comments below are for all staff but the one at the front desk was rude. I inquired as to why she was charging my card with $150 for amenities. She said standard procedure but I have stayed at many hotels and that is not standard procedure. I also checked with several other people staying at the hotel as I was there for the Shuffleboard Canadian Championships and they were not charged this fee. I understand it is a 'hold' charge and I was ultimately not charged the $150 but my point to the person at the desk was if this is standard procedure then I should have been told about it when I booked. Her comment to me was "Well, I don't know what hotels you stay at but this has always been standard everywhere I have worked, and that I was wrong"
