“Very friendly and helpful staffs”

Very good hotel especially the friendliness and helpfulness of staffs. I recalled couple people who were very friendly and helpful to me: Kat at the front desk from Venezuela, Amy in the breakfast room from Malaysia, and two others in the front desk (a man with a Chinese last name, and a young Asian girl).These staffs were great in term of talking to me, suggesting for places to see and eat, and overall chatting. Amy who was working in the breakfast room was working very diligently to bring in foods, taking out used dishes, and cleaning the area and dishes.Kat was very good to me in talking to me and gave suggestions on places to see and eat. She also gave me a room on the 3rd floor as per my request when booking with her over the phone. I have heard in other review that the rooms on the 1st floor can be noisy from the next door bar / restaurant.The housekeeping staffs who cleaned my room everyday had done tremendous job in cleaning the room. I left them a small change for tips everyday between $2 and $2.50.Unfortunately, my room has very old and stained carpet. The carpet is in need to be changed ASAP. The front desk staff told me that half of the hotel's rooms have already been changed with new carpet. The other half is waiting for new carpet to arrive from China. They told me to request for a room with a new carpet in my next stay.Overall, it was a very good stay with excellent staffs and convenience of downtown location.
