“Could've been worse...”

We were in town for one night. The location was ideal, and the evening desk clerk was polite, prompt and congenial. Upon arriving at our room, the bedspreads were stained and soiled, and the fabric "pilled." The bathroom floor was so sticky and unpleasant that none of us dared to venture in without shoes. There was between 6-8" of clearly visable mold growth coming up the shower wall where it meet the top of the tub. I didn't like the sliding patio door: I thought it invited intruders, the curious, and even with the curtains drawn the headlights of turning cars through the night woke me frequently. After a quick glance, we opted to pass on the breakfast offerings: there was no effort to keep the milk, butter or creamer close to required refridgerated temperatures, and the pastries were at least one day old. I felt that the same care that went into cleaning our bathtub likely went into to preparing the breakfast display, and we passed. I have stayed in Ramadas in the past, will likely stay in them again, but this one was bad. Management there is clearly lacking or extremely sub standard. Despite that, we still left $5 for housekeeping, because it must be a horrible place to work.
