“Weekend Wedding”

Had our wedding at the Goldmoor but blocked off about 17 rooms for guests at the Ramada for the weekend. As far as our stay went, it was fine but some of our guests had not so great experience. My mother in law had her heat go out in the middle of the night. My grandmother had her lights go out in the morning while taking a shower. My dad had his tv go out. One of our friends said there was blood on a pillow case, maybe a bloody nose? We also had guests arriving earlier than the check in time on the day of the wedding which we addressed with the staff ahead of time. They told us to give them a few hours notice and that it wouldn't be a problem. When my guests were leaving from Chicago I called the front desk to let them know which guests would be be early so their rooms would be ready. When those guests arrived, some of the rooms were not ready. The staff was fairly accommodating but it was very stressful for us as we had other things to address for the wedding but our families would come to us first before talking to the front desk. Our stay was okay and we might stay the next time we are in Galena but for most of our guests I'm afraid they won't be checking in again.
