“Disappointed”

First of all, let me say that the staff were friendly and as helpful as possible and the pool was a nice size pool. However, the rooms were a different story. We traveled with another family and requested adjoining rooms. The air was off when we arrived so we turned it on in both rooms. Our room cooled off fairly quickly but the other room had nothing. The other room also had the phone jack plugged in incorrectly and the light that comes on when you first come in the room was unplugged so they had to fumble around until they could get to another light. She used our phone to call the front desk about the air. My husband figured out the problem with the phone and fixed it. While waiting, he also tightened screws on our bathroom door handle because it was about to fall off. The gentleman came to check the air and after much fiddling with it came to the conclusion that it didn't work. Since it was extremely hot, my friend and her son were moved to another room, about as far from us as you can get. When she got there, she heard dogs barking in a room 2 doors down. I later heard another dog barking across the hall from her room. The layout of this hotel is terrible. Not sure what the architect was thinking. Her room's window looked down on the "Convention Center" hall where a wedding and reception was taking place. So she had the joy of listening to a party while trying to go to sleep. Because of the distance, our 10 year old sons were unable to visit each other unescorted. They had looked forward to actually spending the entire weekend together. Breakfast was typical free breakfast. The only reason I'm giving this an average rating is for the pool and staff. Otherwise it would be poor. I won't stay again. This was not a $90 room.
