“Need to update elevator”

  , Spring
Their elevator was built in 1913 and one of them was not working on my last 3 days of staying there. It's an old school elevator where you have to open the gate, which in some ways is neat, but come on. It's 100 years later and no one really cares about an "original" elevator. That's what museums are for. I was there on a business trip and waiting 20 minutes for one 100 year old elevator to take you from the 8th floor to the lobby is beyond ridiculous. I get the whole "classic" vibe, playing the 40s channel on SiriusXM in the lobby and pre-ww2 ambiance, but you can still update things that are convenient, like 1) faster elevators and 2) functional ones. I can handle the noise (it is in the heart of downtown which is great), the small rooms , the older bathrooms, and no swimming pool, but when you're staying on the 10th floor and only one elevator works...it's no bueno. I probably won't stay here again, unless they decide to join the 21st century.
