“Awful place”

  , Boston
Not only did they give me a room that was not made up by the maids, but it smelled musty. When the concierge told the head maid, she shrugged it off and walked away and the concierge on duty was too busy checking out the two pretty girls also waiting to bother even caring. He even called the maid "Honey" in front of the guests. How demeaning. They gave me a new room and the bed was uncomfortable, the bathtub was dreadfully old, and the concierge on duty was alone during a busy memorial day weekend. I give it two stars because the restaurant that does the room service was very good. The rest of the hotel needs a complete makeover as every nook and cranny has something wrong with it. The whole place felt unkempt and abandoned. And telling your guests to reuse! reuse! reuse! wherever you look would only make the Sierra Club happy. I want clean linens and I want my bath towels washed after each use. Everywhere I looked there was a sign about being eco-friendly. Are you kidding me? I don't care how much detergent you use every year. Or hot water. Those are your problems. Don't make your guests feel guilty about planet earth when they are trying to "get away" from it all. If I was a "mystery" guest I'd have the hotel manager fired, every eco-sign taken down, and the place given a facelift. And speaking of hot water, it shouldn't take five minutes for hot water to reach a guest's room. Yes, five minutes. And having only one (yes, one) ice machine in the entire hotel is just plain cheap. I had to go into a dingy hallway where I thought I'd get mugged, down a flight of stairs and to the other side of the building! That's inexcusable. People don't want microwaves in their rooms. We want a minibar so we don't have to trek half a mile to get a snack and a soda from a vending machine.
