“A Fair Effort to Update, But No Elevator...”

  , Chicago
The Ramada in Tuscaloosa was fair to middle. Camille, at the front desk was very nice, but when we asked where was the elevator and she said there was not one, we thought she was joking; not. Camille was very accommodating. She asked if we would like to stay on the main floor. There are only two floors. The hotel is old and they did a fair job of renovating it, but it was still too dark, dank and underwhelming for me. They need to replace the old dingy carpet and they need to reinstall exhaust fans in the bathrooms. That might help retard the mold growth in tube area. Also the bed was fair to good, but the noice from the highway was very loud! I wish I would have gotten a room on the other side of the hotel. Overall, it was clean, but drab. The breakfast was good. No eggs or meat, but great for free. They had yogurt, cereal, milk, waffles, sweet rolls, biscuits, fruit, coffee, and juice.
